Little is only interested in big picture
Both Little and Ifeoma Dieke were flying the flag for Scotland at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, the only two non-English players in Hope Powell’s opening starting XI.
But the duo certainly played their part as Stephanie Houghton’s second-half free-kick was enough for a narrow victory, getting Great Britain off to the perfect start.

Hide AdAnd former Hibs Ladies player Little, who was replaced at half time by Arsenal team-mate Ellen White, is adamant that all that matters is the three points with all eyes on the side as they rose the curtain in London.
“What a way to start. For us three points was all that mattered and we got it,” said 22-year-old Little, who watched as compatriot Dieke played the entire game in defence, helping Great Britain keep a clean sheet.
“We could have definitely won by a few more goals. We had five or six chances in the first half to score and then a couple at the beginning of the second half.
“But luckily Steph came up with the goods when it mattered and we got the one goal we needed.

“It’s great to be here and it’s an experience I will remember for a long time.
