Penicuik Athletic star Paul Tansey on the run for Cash for Kids appeal
The 35-year-old midfielder is taking part in the Boogie in the Morning 5k-a-day in may charity appeal.
Not only will that help get him in shape for the new season but it will also help a worthy cause with all the cash he raises going to the Radio Forth Cash for Kids appeal.

Hide AdTansey, from Dalkeith, has raised money for the charity in the past. And when he heard the initiative advertised on the radio he was more than happy to help out again.
He said; “I'm a keen runner and it’s for a good cause, something I've been involved in for a wee bit. If it helps kids a wee bit less fortunate than me to get things that they need then I’m all for it."
"The donations I've had so far have been phenomenal. Basically I just want to raise as much as possible.
"Hopefully when I post my runs on social media and put videos up more people will get involved.

As well as the benefits to Cash for Kids, Tansey’s efforts should mean Penicuik boss Tony Begg has a fully fit midfielder raring to go come the season kick-off in July.
Tansey said: “It's a win-win for me. Obviously every day I'm keeping myself fit and Tony will know I’m actually doing something instead of sitting around."
