Rampant Linlithgow fight back to crush Falkirk Juniors

Linlithgow ROSE began pre-season with a 5–1 win over Falkirk Juniors on Bathgate’s all-weather pitch last night, writes JOHN GILMOUR.

Rose, who fielded new faces John Ovenstone and Billy Gibson, fell behind early on. But they gradually settled and equalised from the penalty spot, with Andy Shirra converting. Calum Smith edged Rose ahead before Shirra missed a penalty before half-time.

In the second half, Smith added a third before sub Stuart McArthur and Steve Manson completed the rout.
