While Hibees boss Jack Ross faces a visit to his former club, Alloa manager Peter Grant will be offered the chance to do an Edinburgh double after defeating the Jambos in extra-time at Recreation Park on Saturday.

Ross was appointed Alloa manager in December 2015 and although he was unable to prevent the Clackmannanshire side from being relegated, he guided them to 10 straight wins at the start of the following campaign before being appointed manager of St Mirren in October 2016.

Rangers were 4-0 winners at The Falkirk Stadium to take the final place in the pot for the draw which immediately followed their match and Steven Gerrard’s team was paired against St Mirren, at Paisley, in next month’s matches.

Ross County’s reward for defeating Celtic at Celtic Park is a trip to managerless Livingston while Dunfermline will host St Johnstone at East End Park for the chance to head to Hampden and the semi-finals next January.

The four quarter final matches will be played midweek, on Wednesday, December 16 and Thursday, December 17.
