There is every likelihood of one more big deal being completed in Scotland, albeit seeing one of the Scottish Premiership stars moving on. We have seen clubs already record their highest ever sale, David Turnbull from Motherwell to Celtic and Lyndon Dykes move to QPR from Livingston, for example.

Scott McKenna’s possible departure from Aberdeen could add to that, as could Alfredo Morelos leaving Rangers. With further Covid-19 concerns, clubs are less likely to reinvest money with the future uncertain.

We will have all the latest from around Scottish football throughout the day as it happens, including transfer news.

Big two weeks for Kent

It is set to be a big two weeks for Ryan Kent and Rangers.

According to the Daily Mirror, Leeds United are set to return with an improved offer in the final days of the transfer window.

The Premier League side’s initial £10m bid was rejected by the Ibrox side.

McKenna deal expected today

AC Milan confirm Ajer interest

Paolo Maldini, AC Milan legend and technical director, has confirmed the club’s interest in Kristoffer Ajer.

The Serie A giants are on the lookout for a new centre-back but at the moment Ajer is not a priority.

Maldini said: “The biggest need is the central defender. Are we focusing on Ajer and Milenkovic? There are others too, they are not the names we are working on.”

Rangers want signing this week

Rangers are looking to add Daniel Johnson this week, report the Scottish Sun.

The Preston midfielder has emerged as a key target.

Steven Gerrard is keen to add to his midfield options, especially with Joe Aribo and Ryan Jack injured.

A possible stumbling block could be the fee with Rangers hopeful of doing a deal for £3m.
