Shotts at glory for Bon Accord

Shotts BON ACCORD are the 2012 Scottish Junior Cup winners after beating holders Auchinleck Talbot 2-1 at Livingston yesterday.

Auchinleck, from Ayrshire, were firm favourites but it was Lanarkshire side Shotts who started the game better. The final was won by the 12th minute, in which time Shotts had scored twice. The first saw a Mark Sideserf cross bundled by Gavin Duncan to Shotts striker Stefan McCluskey who slammed the ball home from ten yards. The second came from Shotts skipper John Boyack who flicked it past the keeper on the line.

Shotts held out until the 88th minute when Talbot pulled a goal back through Kyle Faulds.
