Two more arrests made following Scottish Cup chaos

A further two men have been arrested in connection with the alleged violence and disorder at the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden on Saturday May 21, 2016.

A 23-year-old man was arrested and detained in police custody as well as a 40-year-old man. Both men were charged with alleged offences under the Offensive Behaviour at Football (Scotland) Act 2012 while the 40-year-old was also charged with alleged assault.

The latest arrests brings the total number of arrests following the Scottish Cup Final to 58.

Both men are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Police are continuing to investigate the violence that marred the Scottish Cup Final and officers are continuing to appeal to anyone with information that may assist their enquiries to contact the inquiry team on 0141 532 5457, or by emailing [email protected]
