Victory parade for Hibs if they win the cup, says Lord Provost
THE Lord Provost has revealed he plans to host a special reception for Hibs if they win the League Cup.
Donald Wilson has offered to host a reception within the City Chambers on Monday, March 21, for the Hibees, plus a public victory parade through the streets of Edinburgh that night. The parade would see team members board an open-top bus and travel from the High Street to Easter Road.
Councillor Wilson said: “Whatever the result I’m sure they will do the city proud but I can promise we’ll make sure they receive a fitting celebration in the city if they bring that cup home.”
