Bruntsfield Links won the West Edinburgh Winter League for the second time in four years.
They beat Turnhouse, who have enjoyed a strong run in club competitions in recent years, 2.5-1.5 in the final at Dalmahoy. An earlier defeat to Turnhouse was the only time Bruntsfield Links slipped up in the campaign.
“We had a very good winter campaign with a total of twenty players making at least one appearance and six of them playing their first competitive match for the club,” said Stuart McLaren.
He missed out on the final due to the fact he was playing in the Scottish Champion of Champions at Leven but added: “It’s a great achievement for the club with a good blend of youth and experience turning out during the campaign.”
