Victory over struggling Division One rookies Erskine Stewart’s Melville at Peffermill tomorrow (push-off 1pm) would secure back-to-back Division One titles.

The students and Grove Menzieshill both have 44 points but Edinburgh have a goal difference of plus 71 against Grove’s plus 37.

The three-time Commonwealth Games striker will not allow her squad to underestimate ninth-placed Stewart’s Mevlille, who have only won two of their 17 league games so far this season.

Judge, a teacher at St George’s School, Edinburgh, said: “Victory
secures a second straight title for us and that’s our target. If we do our job, whatever happens elsewhere doesn’t matter.”

Edinburgh University men take on PSL Team Sport Clydesdale in the Scottish Cup semi-finals at Glasgow’s National Hockey Centre tomorrow.

They’ll meet either Bromac Kelburne or Dundee-based Grove Menzieshill in the final should they progress.

Edinburgh University Ladies are also in Scottish Cup semi-final action on Sunday against Western Wildcats in Glasgow while Grove Menzieshill play city rivals MJV Dundee Wanderers in the other tie.
