The Dons have enjoyed the upper hand in most of the recent games between the two teams, although Jack Ross masterminded a 3-0 victory over the Pittodrie outfit in December 2019 thanks to a Martin Boyle double and a strike from recent Dons signing Florian Kamberi.
Derek McInnes’ side have won just one of their last five matches and were defeated 2-0 by Livingston while Hibs were getting the job done in Paisley against St Mirren.
While there might not have been too much for Hibs supporters to shout about in recent encounters with Aberdeen, we've taken a look back at some memorable goals against the Reds.
From Dylan McGeouch at Hampden, to Dominique Malonga's solo goal in the League Cup at Easter Road, and Michael Stewart's Scottish Cup volley, join us on a wee jaunt down memory lane.

1. Dylan McGeouch, April 2017
2-0 down at Hampden in the Scottish Cup semi-final in April 2017, Hibs had pulled one back through Grant Holt before Dylan McGeouch picked up the ball inside his own half, drove towards the Aberdeen box and played a one-two with Holt before drilling the ball under Joe Lewis. 2. Leigh Griffiths, April 2012
Another Scottish Cup semi-final, this time the right result. Rory Fallon's wonder-goal cancelled out Garry O'Connor's flicked opener, but Leigh Griffiths sealed Hibs' spot in the final with a low finish under Jason Brown with time running out Photo: SNS Group Garry Williamson
3. Gary Deegan, February 2013
What is it with Hibs and Aberdeen and cup games? Ben Williams saved a penalty in this game but it was Irishman Deegan's stunning long-range effort in off the underside of the crossbar that stole the show for the Hibees Photo: SNS Group Craig Williamson
4. Dom Malonga, September 2015
Hibs shocked the Scottish Premiership league-leaders in this 2015 League Cup tie. With fewer than ten minutes remaining Jason Cummings had fired Hibs in front, and "King Dom" secured Hibs' passage to the next round with a glorious solo goal that saw him take on, and beat, three players before slotting the ball home Photo: SNS Group Roddy Scott
