Some, like Pat Quinn or Eddie May, made more than 100 appearances for both while others – such as Henri Anier or Chris Humphrey – did not have the same impact at Easter Road as they did at Fir Park.

10. Michael Weir
Joined Hibs as a teenager, playing 48 times between 1984 and 1987 before joining Luton. Returned to Hibs after just eight games for the Hatters and spent nearly a decade in green and white. Had a brief loan spell at Millwall before finishing his career at Motherwell in 1998. Photo: SNS Group

12. Andy Walker
Spent the first few years of his senior career at Motherwell in the mid-1980s, playing 77 times, and after spells at Celtic (twice), Newcastle, Bolton, and Sheffield United joined Hibs on loan in 1998 where he scored three times in eight games. Photo: SNS Group
