However, with a number of players currently on the Easter Road books coveted by teams with deep pockets, could there be a new name at the top of that list by the end of the summer transfer window?
Birmingham City already failed in a bid to land Kevin Nisbet in January, with Hibs turning down a £3m offer for their top scorer, prompting a transfer request which could yet see the star striker leave the club just 12 months into a four-year deal.
The 24-year-old has since gone on to make his Scotland breakthrough, scoring his first international goal against the Netherlands, and featuring in all three Euro 2020 matches as a substitute, increasing his value to the point where it could take a record bid to prize him from Easter Road.
Hibs also turned down a seven-figure approach from Millwall for centre-back Ryan Porteous in January, while Watford have been credited with preparing a £4m move for teenage left back Josh Doig, with Arsenal and Celtic also reportedly keeping tabs on the youngster.
Should all three players depart this summer – and there’s no suggestion they will with Hibs owner Ron Gordon insisting the club does not want or need to sell – then the 2021 summer window could be Hibs’ most lucrative ever.
That’s before you factor in the potential financial windfall should John McGinn’s reported £50m move from Aston Villa to Liverpool materialise with Hibs due 15 per cent of any sale.
Could Nisbet, Doig and Porteous all find themselves in the list of Hibs top 10 transfer sales before the end of the summer window? ...

1. Scott Brown - £4.4m to Celtic

2. Steven Fletcher - £3m to Burnley
Fletcher had established himself in the Scotland side, scoring the winner against Iceland in a World Cup qualifier, before making the move to the English Premier League in July 2009. The original fee rose by £500,000 due to add-on clauses. Photo: SNS Group Steve Welsh

3. Steven Whittaker - £2m to Rangers

4. John McGinn - £2.75m to Aston Villa
