The 2024 Autumn Nations Test Series was an overall success for Scotland as Gregor Townsend’s side recorded wins over Fiji, Portugal and Australia.
That win over the Wallabies will stand the Scottish players in good stead when British & Irish Lions head coach Andy Farrell makes his squad selection for the 2025 tour Down Under. There is the Six Nations Championship to be played before that happens and that tournament will of course be the final deciding factor for most players.
After an impressive November though it’s fair to say that plenty Murrayfield stand-outs put their hands up and will be in contention come selection time. Here are 14 players were expect to be in the mix and our view of their current chances:

5. Sione Tuipulotu
Currently being discussed as a possible Lions captain! Still feels like Ireland's Bundee Aki will be Farrell's prefered choice at 12 but if the Scotland skipper continues his Autumn form in the Six Nations he may well overtake his Irish counterpart. 6. Huw Jones
If you're going with Russell and Tuipulotu then there's a case for consistency with Jones joining the back line at 13. He's also a fantastic player in his own right so will almost certainly be in the squad but plenty other players will be vying for that position so he'll need to stand out in the Six Nations. 7. Pierre Schoeman
The Murrayfield fan favourite is a solid loose-head option for Andy Farrell but he ins't short of those. This is one of the many positions that could be won or lost in the Six Nations but, right now, Schoeman is on the plane. LIONS CHANCES = TEST REPLACEMENT | Getty Images

8. Ben White
Scrum half feels like a straightforward call right now with Ireland's Jamison Gibson-Park starting the tests and White as his deputy in the replacements. LIONS CHANCES = TEST REPLACEMENT | Getty Images
