Boroughmuir coach Wright names his assistants

Boroughmuir head coach Peter Wright has bolstered his coaching team ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

Jonny Else was head coach at Edinburgh Accies and is head of PE at Boroughmuir High School

Former Scotland prop Wright took up the post, previously held by Bruce Aitchison, a fortnight ago and has wasted no time in bringing in deputies.

Jonny Else and Neil Wood will be the new assistant coaches at Meggetland.

Else, a previous head coach of Edinburgh Accies, has most recently been working with the Heriot’s second XV.

He is an ambitious coach and is also head of PE at Boroughmuir High School.

And his appointment will no doubt further strengthen the links between the club and the school and see more young talent coming through into the senior teams.

Wood worked closely with Wright at previous club Selkirk on scrum techniques.

It is also hoped that, as well as working with the first XV forwards, Wood will help the other coaches at the club improve.
