Edinburgh extend Chris Dean contract
Centre currently recovering from injury
Chris Dean has extended his contract with Edinburgh Rugby.
The 25-year-old centre and club academy graduate has made 86 appearances since making his debut in September 2015. He suffered a pectoral injury in pre-season playing against Ospreys and is expected to return to fitness in the new year.
Edinburgh have not disclosed the length of the deal.
He said: “I am delighted to have re-signed with my hometown team and I’m looking forward to getting back out there soon.”
Head coach Richard Cockerill, added: “Chris has played exceptionally well in my first two years here and is developing into a very good player.
“I’m very happy that he’s committed his future to the club and it shows we’re building a core of local, Scottish lads to lead this team in the future.”
