Edinburgh Rugby heading to La Rochelle and Sale Sharks in Heineken Champions Cup

Richie Cockerill’s Edinburgh players have learned their schedule for the Heineken Cup group stages after this afternoon’s draw.

They’re joined by in a 12-team section which also contains Wasps, Leinster and Toulon, but Cockerill’s side will play Sale Sharks and La Rochelle home and away in their round-robin fixtures.

Group stage games begin in December with the top four sides of each 12-team section qualifying for April’s quarter finals.

The final will be held in Marseille on May 22, 2021.

Glasgow Warriors drew champions Exeter Chiefs and Lyon.
