Edinburgh to play Sale and Newcastle in pre-season

Edinburgh Rugby are to face English Premiership sides Sale Sharks and Newcastle Falcons in pre-season matches.

Alan Solomons’ team will travel to play Sale at Heywood Road Stadium on Friday 19 August (kick-off 7pm).

The Salford-based side finished sixth in the Aviva Premiership last season to secure a spot in the European Champions Cup.

Edinburgh will then welcome Newcastle Falcons to BT Murrayfield the following Friday (26 August, kick-off 7.30pm).

They last played Newcastle in 2014 at Hawick’s Mansfield Park, winning 21-15.

Season ticket are valid for the match. Ticket are £12 for adults, £8 for senior citizens and £5 for under-18s.
