The postponed Glasgow v Edinburgh 1872 Cup match will now take place on Saturday.

Both clubs had a blank weekend after the European club competitions were suspended.

Glasgow and Edinburgh were due to meet last Friday night but the match was postponed 15 minutes before kick-off due to Scotstoun’s artificial pitch being frozen.

They will now play on Saturday, kicking off at 5.15pm. The match will be screened live on Premier Sports.

It’s the second 1872 Cup match of the season, Edinburgh having won the first game 10-7 at BT Murrayfield.

Another win for the capital side will see them retain the trophy.
