Scott, the younger brother of Scotland cap Matt, came through the youth ranks at Malleny Park and made his mark in the first team before earning an academy contract with Glasgow Warriors four years ago.

Last season he was a full-time pro with the Warriors and made his competitive debut for them before shoulder and foot injuries caused problems.

And now he has decided to head back to Currie to work under head coach Ben Cairns as they look for another top-four finish.

Scott, 23, said: “I have had a long association with Currie and I am looking forward to playing for them again.

“I loved my time at the Warriors and learnt a lot there, now my aim is to regain full fitness and get regular rugby under my belt.”
