Jack Turley thanks Heriot's as he departs for Fylde

Heriot's captain Jack Turley is moving down south to join English National One side Fylde ahead of the 2016/17 season.

The Kiwi second-row/back-row has been a big influence at Goldennacre in recent seasons and the news will come as a blow as they look to retain the BT Premiership and BT Cup trophies after the summer.

He also made one appearance for Edinburgh Rugby in 2014 away to Leinster and earned Scotland Club XV caps.

The 27-year-old said: “Joining Fylde is a major challenge for me and I’m looking forward to it immensely. I believe that I can fit in to the club’s culture and well-known attacking style of rugby.

“I want to pay tribute to Heriot’s where I’ve had four fantastic seasons. They are a great club and I owe a huge debt to coaches, fellow players, officials and supporters who made my stay so productive and happy.”
