Rugby: Boroughmuir looking for life after Pringle

Boroughmuir are likely to turn to one of their favourite sons to guide them back to the forefront of club rugby following an announcement that head coach Fergus Pringle is moving on.

Since the turn of the year, former captain Ben Fisher has become involved in trying to help the Meggetlanders beat the drop. Currently seven points adrift at the foot, their only hope is to leapfrog Edinburgh Accies into a play-off place.

Kiwi Fisher is a highly rated SRU academy coach, and an apparent softening of attitudes at Murrayfield towards staff attaching themselves to the club scene is ideally timed to suit Boroughmuir. In a statement the club say: “Both Fergus and the Boroughmuir Rugby agree that it is the right time for a change.”
