Two penalties and a converted try made it 27-0 after 32 minutes to the visitors and the hosts were shell-shocked.

No.8 Tom Dodd got the Scots on the board with a try and then hooker Fraser Renwick barged over for a converted effort to make it 27-12 at the break.

Wales added their fourth try right after the restart to make it 34-12 and although skipper Callum Hunter-Hill’s scored for Scotland, by the hour mark it was 44-17.

Replacement scrum-half Andrew Simmers and sub winger Robbie Nairn (2) scored further Scotland tries, but Wales were dominant and added more tries of their own to canter to victory 65-34.
