In one of world sports most iconic and historic matches, the Calcutta Cup remains the oldest trophy in International Rugby.
Since the first match was played in 1879, England are winning 72-44 against their bitter rivals in terms of matches won, however it is the Scots who’ve had the better recent record, winning or retaining the trophy six times since 2018.
With this Saturday marking the 131st edition of the annual event, we take a trip down memory lane at the last 13 Calcutta Cups, which have had very mixed fortunes for the Scots. From dreary Murrayfield whitewashes to epic Twickenham comebacks, here’s a look at the most recent Calcutta Cup’s through the medium of images:

7. England 38-38 Scotland (16/03/19)
An absolute rollercoaster at Twickenham ended in the 16th Calcutta Cup stalemate. The Scots looked down and out as England raced to a 31-0 lead. But an epic comeback which saw them score six unanswered tries seen them take a seven point lead at the death, only for George Ford to score and convert a last minute buzzer-beater.
