The 2025 Six Nations concludes this weekend with Scotland and France bringing the curtain down in the final match at the Stade de France in Paris.
Although Gregor Townsend’s side do still technically have an opportunity to win the competition it is highly unlikely and would require a string of results elsewhere going their way in the other two ‘Super Saturday’ matches. Ireland take on Italy in the opener while England face Wales in the middle match.
The head coach has had some big calls to make throughout the tournament but this weekend’s starting XV may be one of his easiest calls. Here is the Edinburgh Evening News’ predicted Scotland XV to take on France in their final match of the 2025 Six Nations Championship:

5. Grant Gilchrist
Hasn't earned the headlines or applause of others this tournament but has been the model of consistency and the main cog of a line-out which has operated smoothly and well throughout the competition | Getty Images

6. Jamie Ritchie
Ritchie has been excellent for Scotland this year having impressed in the Autumn against Australia and carried that form into the Six Nations he is now a sure fire starter once again and may even be making a late but credible claim for a Lions spot | Getty Images

7. Rory Darge
Injury that saw him go off against Wales is apparently not a serious one and he is expected to be fit for Paris. As co-captain he'll be eager to end the tournament on a high not just individually but as a team | SNS Group

8. Jack Dempsey
With Jamie Ritchie in such good form it also provides Scotland with welcome depth in the number eight position between Dempsey and Matt Fagerson. It's the former Aussie international's jersey to lose at the moment. | SNS Group
