Six Nations: Blair says Scots must adapt quicker
That’s the verdict of former captain Mike Blair, who says: “Why did Scotland wait until the last ten minutes to challenge the French outside defence?
“Scotland scored a fantastic set-piece try (by Tim Visser) and created other opportunities in the wide channels in that time. It’s amazing what happens when you ‘have to’ play as time’s running out and you need tries. How do you translate this into the first 70 minutes of the game?

Scotland showed that they do have the skills to do this (and) there is a lot to come from this group of players and there appears to be plenty of spirit which is imperative at this level. The players will have gained confidence from this campaign.”
