Snooker: Scots broken

Scotland crashed out at the quarter-final stage of the European Snooker Team Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria, after a narrow defeat to England.

Bonnyrigg’s Michael Leslie continued his fantastic run with a 4-0 whitewash of England’s Michael Wild to give Scotland the perfect start. However, England levelled the match when Steve Judd defeated Perth’s Scott Donaldson 4-2. In the deciding match, Craig MacGillivray (Granton) looked to be in control as he opened up a 3-1 lead over England’s Robbie Williams, however, he lost the last three frames as England sealed the match.
