Hide AdFurther success came in the men’s doubles, where he partnered Waverley’s Andy Melrose to reach the final, while along with Claire, his sister, Scott reached the semi-finals of the mixed doubles.
“Entering five events was quite demanding but hopefully it will help me achieve a tennis scholarship to Stirling University, where I’m keen to take the Sports Studies course,” said Duncan.
To capture the men’s singles, Scott came through a 64-player draw culminating in a 6-4, 6-4 win over Italian second seed Gabrielle Raineri and the under-18 final produced a 6-2, 6-1 win over Michael Fairbairn.

Duncan then saw off Lloyd Greatorix-Watson and Oliver Derbyshire in the boys doubles and while they were able to edge through in a third set tie-break there was a reversal of that outcome in the men’s doubles where Raineri was victorious with Italian Paolo Conti.
The women’s singles was won by English challenger Lauren Matthews.
