Uni must fight double drop

Edinburgh Uni women have joined the men in imminent danger of being relegated from the British Universities Basketball Championship Premier North Division after making the long trip by minibus to Sheffield to lose by 18 to Sheffield Hallam.

They now host Hallam at the Pleasance a week on Wednesday knowing they must win by 19 or more.

“It’s a tough ask,” says captain Ali Mitchell, whose team join the men in a double-header away to high-flying Durham on Wednesday.
