New flights from Edinburgh Airport to hidden gem location dubbed 'mini Rome'
Jet2 has announced two exclusive new routes from Edinburgh Airport that will take-off in time for summer 2027.
Jet2 has announced two brand-new routes for summer 2027 from Edinburgh Airport, with flights and holidays going on sale for the first time to the Greek Island of Crete (Chania) and Pula on the Istrian coast.
The weekly Wednesday services are now available to Crete (Chania) from May 5 to October 27, 2027, alongside weekly Sunday services to Pula from May 2 to October 17, 2027.
As the largest of the Greek Islands, Crete has been a long time favourite for family-friendly holidays, group getaways or romantic retreats. With adventure-ready mountains sit alongside neon-lit clubs, water parks and ancient Minoan treasures there is something for everyone.
Situated on the Istrian coast of Croatia, Pula has been dubbed a ‘mini Rome’ thanks to the amphitheatre that dominates the city’s centre. Foodies can expect to find some of the world’s best olive oil and history buffs will be able to explore a city that has been in a state of constant change for more than 2000 years.

Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “There are many holidaymakers wanting to get that sunshine locked into their diaries for Summer 2027, with our flights and holidays from Edinburgh Airport proving particularly popular.
“In response to demand from those customers wanting to book early, who know that the best rooms in the best hotels in the best resorts get booked up, we are delighted to be putting two new routes on sale from the airport. We are also seeing families booking early and wanting to get that summer sun booked in, so they can take advantage of family-friendly touches such as interconnecting rooms.
“Crete (Chania) and Pula are magical destinations, and we know their appeal, coupled with our award-winning customer experience, will make them much sought-after from Edinburgh Airport. We look forward to taking holidaymakers to these new summer hotspots.”
Stephanie Wear, chief commercial officer at Edinburgh Airport, said: "The addition of two brand new Mediterranean routes is fantastic news for our travellers already looking to book their summer 2027 holiday.
"Both Chania and Pula offer direct connectivity to destinations famed for sunshine, beauty and history, and explains why they are in high demand. We always look to provide choice to passengers and we're looking forward to seeing these new additions to our departures board."
