Krakow Poland: I stayed at the new TRIBE Hotel in the heart of the city - perfect for exploring beautiful Old Town attractions
I stayed at the new TRIBE Hotel in the beautiful city of Krakow in Poland - and it was the perfect base to explore the Old Town.
It is the very first TRIBE Hotel to open in Poland. And of course, it has opened in the popular city Kraków which is full of tourists. I had never visited Kraków before and I was blown away by how much I loved the city, and staying at the TRIBE Krakow Old Town made it even better.
The hotel is in a prime location and I would go back and stay there in a heartbeat for this reason. You are so close to all of the main attractions. I really enjoyed being able to walk out of the hotel and in a few minutes be in Planty Park - then within a few seconds be at the city’s main attractions.
Kraków is very walkable because of how flat it is, which means it is so easy to visit all of the main attractions. The TRIBE hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the Royal Route which boasts the mighty 15th-century Barbican (the best-preserved in Europe). You can then enter through St Florian’s Gate and be mesmerised by the lined colourful townhouses, street artists, and shops.

You are around a 10-minute walk from other attractions including Cloth Hall which is the big market square and St Mary’s Basilica, an iconic Gothic church with unequal towers and a jaw-dropping wooden altarpiece. You can climb the tower for panoramic views.
Every hour, a live trumpeter plays the hejnał and waves to the crowd, and it is so lovely to sit in the square enjoying a drink, watching the city go by and hearing the trumpet every hour. The main market square is buzzing with people.
It is the beating heart of Kraków and Europe's largest medieval square. And it is only a short walk from the hotel - what more could you want!

The hotel itself is really inviting, and the staff are super friendly. It has a young, hip vibe and a buzzing energy to it being the first TRIBE Hotel to open in Poland.
Everything is fresh - there is no tired décor at this hotel. It also has clever compact-but-smart rooms with insanely comfortable beds, excellent A/C, Nespresso machines, mini-fridges, clothes steamers, huge TVs, and plenty of plugs. Alongside this you are also treated to luxurious Kevin Murphy toiletries. A real treat!
The ground floor “Social Hub” is a big open space with a speciality coffee bar, cocktail bar, co-working spots and chill-out areas, perfect for solo travellers or digital nomads. There is also a 24/7 gym and sauna (rare at this price point in Kraków).

The hotel boasts an amazing Pan-Asian restaurant that serves everything from delicious bao buns and curries to noodles. It is perfect as you can go out and about in Kraków, try the delicious local food and come back to the hotel and order something different. It is great if you don’t want pierogi for the 5th night in a row!
It is a hotel that you won’t regret staying at if you are exploring Kraków for the first time, or perhaps visiting the city again. Its ideal location, spacious rooms, and attention to detail ranging from toiletries to gym facilities, means that you won’t be disappointed. I had a cracking time in Kraków, and staying at the newly-opened TRIBE Hotel made it all the better.
