With this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe just two months away, we’ve taken a look at the household names heading to the world’s largest arts festival in August.
Among the big names coming to Edinburgh this year are some big Scottish stars, TV presenter and former 90s poster girl Gail Porter, Rab C Nesbitt and Only Child actor Gregor Fisher, former politician Mhairi Black, Travis frontman Fran Healy, and Fife stand-up Daniel Sloss.
From further afield, American actress, presenter and comedian Ruby Wax and hilarious ventriloquist Nina Conti will be here. As well as a host of comedy legends including Julian Clary, Jack Dee, Frank Skinner, Sara Pascoe and Phil Wang.

17. Daniel Sloss
Scottish comedy's former wunderkind Daniel Sloss has become one of the biggest names in the world of comedy and is back in Edinburgh for one huge night at the Playhouse with his new show 'Bitter' on Friday, August 14. A Netflix superstar, Scotland’s Daniel Sloss brought Bitter to the Fringe last year as a work in progress. This year you can see the fully polished, devastatingly hilarious, final show. | Contributed

18. Rosie Jones
Another Taskmaster star! Rosie Jones is a regular at the Fringe. This year she’s bringing her blend of cheek and charm to the subjects of being single, the pressures of representing huge sections of the population, and gravy. Oh, and boobs. The BAFTA-nominated powerhouse returns with her loveable blend of cheek and charm following a nomination for Most Outstanding Show at Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2023. As seen on Live at the Apollo, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Cats Does Countdown, Mock the Week and her Channel 4 sitcom, Pushers. Rosie Jones: I Can't Tell What She's Saying, at Cabaret Bar at Pleasance Courtyard, 4pm, August 5-30. | Local Library Photo: Ian West/ PA Wire
