Bake Off: first episode start time delayed until after Boris Johnson's speech

The first episode of popular TV show Great British Bake Off will start later tonight to accommodate Boris Johnson’s speech to the nation.
The Prime Minister is set to enforce new measures to help slow the spread of coronavirus after a recent surge in cases across the UK at 8pm tonight, the same time the programme was due to show.

Hide AdA spokeswoman for Channel 4 said the popular series is due to start at 8.15pm instead.
One the show's official Twitter account the announcement said: “Update to tonight’s schedule – the new series of The Great British Bake Off will begin at 8.15pm on Channel 4.”
Little Britain star Matt Lucas will be making his Bake Off debut tonight as he replaces Sandi Toksvig, and will co-host the series alongside Noel Fielding.
Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith continue their roles as judges.
