Capital band will rock cafe society hard

HARD Rock Rising returns to the Hard Rock Cafe on George Street this evening, showcasing three local bands battling it out to become the 2016 Hard Rock Rising Champion.

Around the globe more than 425 local artists and music acts will perform live at 107 Hard Rock locations as part of the world’s largest, one-day music showcase – from New York to Japan to Australia and Edinburgh, the competition will be fierce.

Flying the flag for the Capital’s music scene will be A Modern Masquerade, pictured, a three-piece melding pop sensibilities and a guitar-driven groove to their unique blend of alternative rock.

They are joined on the bill by Silvercoast, a four-piece alternative rock band from inverness, who are sure to have the audience up and rockin’ 
with their infectious, energetic tunes.

Also on show will be Murray Torrance, a Fife band who draw their Sixties and Seventies influences to create a classic, authentic rock sound with catchy riffs and progressive beats.

Jeff Nolan, Hard Rock International’s Music and Memorabilia Historian, says, “This year marks the first time in the six-year history of Hard Rock Rising that we are syncing all performances on one day, elevating the competition and creating an immersive, social experience for music fans worldwide.

“Today, you can walk into a Hard Rock venue anywhere in the world and enjoy live music from some of the most talented up-and-coming acts.”
