Chance to see Australian Pink Floyd

AS claims to fame go, being able to say you’re the only Pink Floyd tribute band to have played for a member of the original group is one of the more eccentric ones.

Then again, The Australian Pink Floyd are no ordinary tribute band.

Not only have they played for David Gilmour, they’ve also poached a few of his original session musicians - bass player Guy Pratt and singer Lorelei McBroom to name but two.

Taking over The Playhouse this Sunday on the UK leg of their Europe-wide Exposed In The Light tour, the band have radically overhauled their famed light and sound show to provide punters with a new and exciting experience.

In order to accomplish this, The Australian Pink Floyd have had to extend their entourage to 30 people and three tour buses.

Not bad for a band forged out of a mutual love of Floyd and the necessity to earn enough money for a plane ticket home when they ran out of cash living in the UK.

The Australian Pink Floyd, Edinburgh Playhouse, Greenside Place, Sunday, 7.30pm, £36.25, 0844-847 1660
