DS4, who in 2015, released their numerically titled album 4, boast a strong pedigree having shared stages with the likes of Wilko Johnson, Warner Hodges, The Bluefields, Samantha Fish and Marcus Bonfanti in the past.

They also appeared with Willie Nile, Graham Bonnet, Mick Ralphs Blues Band and Ian Prowse.

Established in 2005 when Sinclair, then a band leader at a recording session in the Stone Room Studio, West London, teamed up with bass player Elizabeth Kinder and drummer Drew Farmer, to record his sing Dusted & Rusted, band members have come and gone over the years.

At The Leith Depot, the current line-up, which includes Sinclair’s son Jack, will showcase a set of original songs written by Sinclair, with possibly the odd cover thrown in too. About to start recording their fifth album, DS4 has headlined the prestigious Friday night line-up of the North Wales Blues & Soul Festival for the last two years. They last played the Capital in 2015.

A chance to see some of the country’s best songwriters, then. There’s no charge for Friday’s gig, but the bucket will be going round, “to pay for the sound guy.”
