Gig preview: Celtic rock band Skerryvore at The Caves

DUBBED ‘Runrig for the 21st century’, Skerryvore are a Celtic rock band with a driving sound of bagpipes, accordions and fiddle, blended brilliantly with kicking rhythms of guitar, bass and drums.

“What first brought us together was a keenness to develop our own sound, putting traditional-style melodies with different beats,” says the group’s accordionist and founder Daniel Gillespie.
