Grant Stott joins BBC Radio Scotland

Former Forth One DJ Grant Stott is to join BBC Radio Scotland to host new shows later this year.

The actor and DJ is to balance his new role at the station with his acting career having appeared in a number of productions since his departure from Forth One at the end of January this year.

Stott will be behind a variety of shows on the station, presenting a range of comedy and music programmes, including Stop The Press, a comedy quiz programme and panel show Breaking The News.

As well as this, Stott will also host a new music show that will air on Sunday afternoons in the summer.

Jeff Zycinski, Head of Radio, BBC Scotland, says: “Grant has a terrific track record as a broadcaster who builds a strong connection with his audiences.

“I’m delighted to welcome him on board to present the new shows we’ll be launching this summer. Grant will be a strong addition to our line-up of presenters.”

Grant Stott had presented shows for the BBC and STV in the past and his latest role will see him return to the BBC.

Speaking to the BBC, Grant sayid: “I’m thrilled - and a little bit stunned - to be joining the BBC and the team at Radio Scotland.

“The variety and range of the programmes I’m going to be working on is really exciting and I can’t wait to get started on this next chapter in my radio career”.
