Lewis Capaldi’s name came up in a question on game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire on Tuesday (8 September).

However, the question left contestant Clea Rawinsky stumped - and her hilarious reaction caught the attention of the Before You Go singer.

On the episode, contestant Clea Rawinsky was left stumped by the question: “Who recorded the UK number one album ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’?”

Her options were: Robbie Williams, Billie Eilish, Stormzy and Lewis Capaldi.

The correct answer was Lewis Capaldi, who released the album in 2019, however Rawinsky had no idea.

She ended up using both of her phone a friend lifelines, but to no avail.

Rawinsky then narrowed down the answers to Robbie Williams and Lewis Capaldi using her 50/50 lifeline.

While thinking over her answer, Rawinksy said: “I don’t even know who Lewis Capaldi is!”

Rawinksy turned to Who Wants to be a Millionaire host Jeremy Clarkson for help.

Clarckson said: “I’m not the sort of person who knows the answer to this question. I mean, it’s a preposterous title.

“I don’t know anything about any of them except Robbie Williams, who I like, so I’m completely useless to you.”

In response, Rawinsky said: “You said you know of Robbie Williams, and you haven’t heard of that [album] so maybe I should take a risk and go for Lewis Capaldi, whoever he is?”

Locking in with Lewis Capaldi as her answer, Rawinksy got it correct, with the question worth £32,000.

Clarkson took a dig at the Scottish singer before moving on by calling him an “unknown man” and saying: “Trouble is you only have to sell four albums these days to be a number one anyways, so it’s meaningless.”

Rawinsky ended up going home with only £1,000 after losing an incredible £31,000 when she didn’t know the answer to the question: “Which specific activity defines a ‘funambulist’ at a circus?”

Her options were lion taming, knife juggling, fire breathing and tightrope walking. Rawinksy guessed knife juggling, however the correct answer was tightrope walking.

How did Lewis Capaldi react?

Known for his sense of humour on the internet, the Scottish singer quickly took advantage of the opportunity to poke some fun at himself.

On Twitter, he changed his profile name to “i don’t even know who lewis capaldi is” and tweeted a series of tweets using the clip where Rawinsky declares that she doesn’t know who the Someone You Loved singer is.
