Popstar Olly Murs has announced he will be playing a string of huge outdoor shows in 2021.

The singer has said that the aim of his 2021 tour is to put a smile back on the face of the country, after the majority of events were cancelled during 2020, due to the ongoing pandemic.

Why is Olly Murs famous?

Despite the current pandemic, it has been a busy time for Murs who recently shone in this year’s Soccer Aid, and who is looking to retain his crown as the winning judge on his third series of The Voice, currently postponed at the semi final stages.

Since becoming runner-up on The X Factor in 2009, Murs has achieved four number one albums, five platinum LPs, collaborated with Demi Lovato, Snoop Dogg and Flo Rida and scored four UK number one singles. He's become one of the most successful alumni from the reality TV competition and has returned to host the series, as well as become a coach on rival series, The Voice.

Murs released his self-titled debut album in 2010, which went on to sell more 600,000 copies and was followed by In Case You Didn't Know a year later, hitting the number one spot in the charts.

A third album, Right Place Right Time, was released in 2012 and the fourth, Never Been Better, entered the charts at No 1 in 2014.

His most recent studio album, 24 Hrs, also entered the UK Albums Chart at number one.

What might Olly Murs play?

Fans can expect to hear all of the singer’s biggest hits, including Dear Darlin', Heart Skips A Beat, You Don't Know Love, and Wrapped Up during his set, as well as tracks from his recent triple platinum album, Never Been Better.
