One Foot in the Grave star cancels Fringe show after suspected heart attack

Richard Wilson has cancelled his Edinburgh Fringe performances after a suspected heart attack.

The 80-year-old, best known for his performance as the iconic Victor Meldrew on BBC’s One Foot in the Grave, was due to begin a 12-night run in the Capital as part of the Festival.

The show, billed as “I Don’t Believe It! An Evening WIth Victor Meldrew” was due to commence on Tuesday, August 16th, however his agent confirmed that the performances had been called off.

While no comment has been made on the health of the actor, it has been reported that he suffered from a heart attack.
