The epic and inspirational music from Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Game of Thrones and beyond is to be performed live at Edinburgh Playhouse.

The worlds of TV, film and fantasy will be brought to life by a full symphony orchestra and stunning choir in an unmissable concert featuring some of the greatest movie soundtracks of all time.

It features music from Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Witcher, Game of Thrones, Dragonheart, The Chronicles of Narnia, How To Train Your Dragon, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars and Avatar.

Conducted by Toby Purser the concert will be performed by the Scottish Concert Orchestra and Scottish Concert Choir.

Edinburgh Playhouse is the ideal venue for this celebration of movie music magic – it started life as a large, single screen cinema in 1929.

In 1980, the building was sold again and reopened as a fully functional theatre.

Since then, the Playhouse has been host to some of the world's biggest musicals, including Les Misérables and Mamma Mia.
