Members of the band contacted Mr Gray to tell him about the filming, which will be hosted in the Corn Exchange on June 28 and is set to feature hundreds of local schoolchildren.

Youngsters from King’s Meadow Primary School will be chasing the band, taking their bagpipes and playing them in the video.

Red Hot Chilli Pipers formed in Scotland in 2002.

Their sound, which combines guitars, keyboards, drums and bagpipes, is known as “bagrock”.
