It’s the first time in eight decades Granpaw, Paw, Maw, Hen, Joe, Daphne, Maggie, Horace, the Twins and the Bairn, have been brought to life on stage.

In this new adventure by Rob Drummond, Maggie is really, finally, getting married... again.

As the family work together to give her the wedding of her dreams, they all start thinking about their own plans for the future.

Joe thinks he should move to London. Horace wants to explore outer space and Daphne and Hen try their hand at Internet dating.

But with Maw determined to do anything to keep her brood together in Glebe Street, will Maggie even make it to the Kirk this time?

Inspired by the long-running Sunday Post comic strip, The Broons are Kern Falconer as Granpaw, Still Game’s Paul Riley as Paw, ex-river City star Joyce Falconer as Maw, with Tyler Collins as Hen, John Kielty as Joe, Laura Szalecki as Daphne and Kim Allan as Maggie.

Horace is played by Euan Bennet, the Twins by Kevin Lennon and Duncan Brown, and the Bairn by another Still Game favourite, Maureen Carr.

This world’s first theatrical staging draws inspiration from the famous comic strip to create a lively and fast paced tale in which award-winning Drummond brings the iconic characters to life in a production filled with laughs, love and comic-strip visuals, all set to a Scottish soundtrack.

The Glebe Street gang have featured in DC Thomson comic strips in the Sunday Post since 1936 and this production celebrates them in their 80th anniversary year.
