This morning viewers were left in hysterics yesterday as a new game offering viewers the chance to win a holiday ended in 'disaster' when an Edinburgh woman won a holiday to her home town.

The ITV show's new game, Spin To Win, gives viewers the chance to win a range of holiday packages including 'star holiday' anywhere in the world, a 'Euro getaway' or a 'UK break'.

One lucky caller named Anne spun the wheel and won a UK break to 'amazing Edinburgh'.

"You’re going to be visiting amazing Edinburgh. And you’re about to explore this hilly capital in style,

"Two magical nights at the historical Glass House Hotel - what a wee treat," she was told.

But presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were horrified to discover that 'amazing Edinburgh' was actually Anne's home town.

The audience dissolved in laughter at news that the show had sent Anne on a holiday to her own city.

"Loved this still laughing about it. Lady from near Edinburgh wins holiday to Edinburgh," one person wrote on Twitter.

"That was absolute TV gold, can't stop laughing that she lives near Edinburgh and won a holiday to Edinburgh!!!" another added.

"The thing is that you can practise as much as you like with a brand new game and the team work very hard on it, presenter Philip Schofield said in a recap of the show's 'best bits'.
