While the fate of Earth is decided as Professor Charles Xavier and his X-Men battle the primordial mutant, Apocalypse, in the latest X-Men film, Vue at the Omni Centre mark the arrival of the much anticipated ninth instalment in the X-Men film series with an exclusive exhibition.

The cinema is one of only ten locations across the UK where Vue has commissioned artists to create eight limited edition interpretations of the X-Men characters for a week-long exhibition to showcase their exciting artwork.

Robert Smith, General Manager of Vue Omni Centre says, “The X-Men films are hugely popular with our customers.

“Superheroes have become favoured subjects for many creative projects and we’re very excited to be marking the release of the latest film with a celebration of our local artists and their fantastic talents.

“The exhibition at Vue Omni Centre will be running for one week and will give visitors to the venue an opportunity to appreciate some amazing artwork inspired by the films.”

The artwork will also contain hidden symbols and signs evoking scenes from past films that fans of the film will recognise, or flagging upcoming events from the newest blockbuster.

X-Men: Apocalypse introduces fans to the first and most powerful mutant, Apocalypse, who wakes after thousands of years to destroy humanity and take over the world.

The task of saving the world is left to the founder of the X-Men, Professor Charles Xavier, and a young generation of X-Men.

And if you’d like to own a copy of one of the pieces of art, fans will have the opportunity to win a copy of the posters exhibited by visiting the twitter handle @vuecinemas to vote for their favourite poster.

All votes will be entered in to a draw with winners being drawn at random; the hidden symbols will also be revealed on the Twitter page throughout the week.
