Chicken Shop Date's final series headed to Edinburgh cinema
The one-night only screening will celebrate 12-years of awkward interviews and deadpan humour
Amelia Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop Date is headed to the big screen with the hit Youtube show's final series shown in full at the Omni Centre’s Vue cinema.
The one-night-only screening of all six of the beloved show’s last episodes will give fans the chance to see the final unreleased episode before anybody else.
Taking place on November 24, the “cinematic experience” will take audiences on a journey through Dimoldenberg’s decision to end the show and celebrate 12 years of awkward flirting over fried chicken.

The cinema chain’s head of event cinema Johnny Carr said: “At Vue, we're always looking for opportunities to bring audiences together around the stories, personalities and cultural moments they care about most.
“As Amelia prepares for the final season of the show, we're delighted to be partnering with mk2 alt to celebrate its legacy on the big screen for the first time and give fans the chance to experience it together as a shared event.”
Vue’s Omni Centre cinema is the only place in Scotland where the show’s passionate fanbase can watch the exclusive release.

While the show has grown into a cultural phenomenon, it started life as a column in a youth magazine in which Demoldenburg would interview Grime artists.
It made its way to Youtube, eventually gaining millions of views per “date” and attracting stars like Louis Theroux, Billie Eilish and Scotland’s own Lewis Capaldi.
Tickets for the special screening of The Chicken Shop: Final Series can snap up tickets on the cinema chain’s website, with prices starting at £9.99.
