Leonardo DiCaprio '˜visited Rosslyn Chapel during Scots trip'
Leonardo DiCaprio made a secret trip to Rosslyn Chapel during his visit to Scotland last week, it has been revealed.
DiCaprio, who was in Edinburgh for the Scottish Business Awards, also paid a visit to the Home restaurant in Queensferry Street as he helped support the work of the Social Bite charity.
The Hollywood actor, who also dined at the Witchery restaurant on Castle Hill and squeezed in a visit to Edinburgh Castle, visited the mysterious chapel which plays a key role in Dan Brown’s novel The Da Vinci Code with friends including fellow actor Kevin Connolly and Revenant co-star Lukas Haas.
The Wolf of Wall Street actor spent time exploring the 15th century chapel, before ordering drinks from the cafe and sitting outside.
Rosslyn Chapel worker Stewart Goodfellow tweeted a sneaky photo of the actor, adding: “No way is Leonardo DiCaprio at my work.”
DiCaprio, 42, and his friends said they were planning a visit to a nearby distillery - possibly Glenkinchie, in Pencaitland - to sample whiskies.
DiCaprio, who stayed at the Prestonfield House hotel during his time in the Capital, revealed that he had been considering flying to Paris to continue his recent birthday celebrations but decided to spend more time in Scotland.
