Little Screens for little kids at Vue

SATURDAY film clubs used to be a massive thing back in the days when television programmes were made in black and white and there were but two channels to choose from.

So there’s an element of back to the future as Vue at Ocean Terminal and Omni Centre bring a brand new family cinema experience to the Capital on Saturday and Sunday with the launch of their Interactive Little Screen events for three to six year olds and their families.

Little Screen, is an exciting new interactive experience created exclusively for families and young children.

Featuring two showings across one weekend each month, the first screenings will feature the much-loved CBeebies favourite Hey Duggee, the Russian animated television series Masha and the Bear, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, which tells of the adventures of young fairy princess Holly and her best friend, Ben Elf, who live in Little Kingdom, a tiny land where flowers and grass grow above the tallest towers, and Paw Patrol, the adventures of six rescue dogs, led by a tech-savvy boy named Ryder.

Little Screen was born from the insight that children’s learning thrives in social environments, and the whole programme has been tailor made for pre-school children to watch and learn together.

For the duration of each 70-minute programme, children will be kept on their toes as host Marty, played by Darren Hart, encourages audience participation inspired by the movie’s content.

Ian Chester, General Manager at Vue Ocean Terminal says, “We’re really excited to be bringing Little Screen to Vue Ocean Terminal and Edinburgh Omni.
