Masterchef: The Professionals is nearing its conclusion with just three cooks left to challenge for the top prize. As we look toward Sunday’s finale - who can stand the heat?

The show returned for its fifteenth series at the start of November with 32 chefs aged 20 or above vying for the chance to become Masterchef: The Professionals 2022 champion. The hopefuls have been cooking under the watchful eyes of judges Michelin-starred chef Marcus Wareing and Anna Hauge, who took over from Monica Galetti, all hoping to impress.

Gregg Wallace also returned to the panel as the only judge still present since the original series in 2008. Past winners of the show include Steve Groves, Adam Handling, Jamie Scott, Steven Edwards and Anton Piotrowski - many of whom have gone on to work in the world’s top restaurants.

Finals week began on Tuesday where six professional chefs went head to head for a chance to cook a dining room full of culinary legends at the Chef’s Table. However, just four made it to Lanesborough Hotel for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Wilson Macedo and Owen Vaughan narrowly missed out on a chance to cook at the Chef’s Table and in Thursday night’s episode James Checkley failed to win over some of the UK’s leading food critics.

Who are the contestants now looking to star in Sunday’s finale? Here’s everything you need to know about the Masterchef: The Professionals 2022 final.
